At Virtual Guard (VG) we have spent hundreds of hours, and literally millions of dollars, researching and designing technology and strategies to effectively deal with vehicle traffic processing that decreases visitor wait times and ensures all transactions are recorded comprehensively and properly. After years of development and testing, including active sites, we have integrated a mix of technologies and strategies which separate us from others in the industry.
VG created our software (vGates.net) to be intuitively easy to use through either your smart device (ex. smartphone) or personal computer. Each community, and each resident in the community, has a password protected portal to their profile where visitors can be scheduled, household members can be managed and administrators can define community rules. Within the App users can activate the in-App remote gate opener for times when they are not in their vehicle or, optionally, to let in their guests through the resident lane.
The Generation 4 Kiosk features a glare-resistant, digital touch screen, ID Scanner, QR Code scanner, Smart Keypad and can be expanded to include Automated License Plate Readers (ALPR’s) with Optical Character Recognition (OCR), all of which improve processing and decrease visitor wait times while adding convenience and additional layers of evidence for each transaction.
At our Command Center, asset protection alerts and visitor management processing are handled by separate guard divisions in-house to ensure each type of transaction is handled professionally and quickly. Both divisions are crossed-trained to handle overflow if either division is experiencing higher than normal transaction volume. All transactions are recorded and saved for guard and visitor accountability and can be reviewed at the client’s request.
